Police have launched a search and rescue operation east of Aurukun, after a 52-year-old man was reported missing on Sunday, March 23.
Initial information indicates around 4pm the man was hunting roughly 70kms east of Aurukun when the vehicle he was travelling in became bogged.
Shortly after, he became separated from the group.
The group conducted a search before returning to Aurukun and alerting police.
On Monday March 24, police launched a search and rescue operation involving police officers, the local council, APN Cape York, community members and aerial assets.
The search is continuing today, anyone with relevant information is urged to contact police.
