Search continues for man missing on rural property at Biggenden

Police continue to coordinate a search for 78-year-old William Hetherington, who last spoke to family via telephone at around 5.50pm last Saturday (October 9) from his property at Dallarnil, north east of Biggenden.

William, who is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cms tall with short, grey hair and green eyes, has a medical condition and grave fears are now held for his safety and wellbeing.

Extensive aerial and land searches, involving police, SES, family, friends and the local community is on-going, including people on horse back, in vehicles, on motorbikes and on foot, after family raised the alarm when they were unable to contact William on October 10.

Police divers will today join the search.

A Police Forward Command Post has been established on Hetheringtons Road.

The property William is missing on is approximately 400 acres and extensively covered by dense forest and bushland.
