Victor Harbor patrols are currently searching for a white Hyundai sedan after the vehicle rammed a police car at Goolwa overnight.
Just after 1.30am on Tuesday 29 October, a Hyundai sedan containing two people stole fuel from a Murray Bridge service station on Adelaide Road.
Police patrols were alerted and they conducted a search for the wanted car.
Just before 3am, the same car was seen by truckies heading towards Callington, then just before 4.30am a police patrols spotted the car heading towards Meadows south of Adelaide on Bull Creek Road.
The white vehicle believed to be Hyundai Elantra was pursued through Currency Creek, then through the Goolwa township heading towards Middleton when it stopped on the Port Elliot Road.
The police patrol stopped behind it, when the driver of the white sedan suddenly reversed into the the front of police car, then accelerating away.
The white Hyundai sedan and occupants were last seen in the Goolwa area, the Police Helicopter (PolAir) is currently searching the area.
There were no reported injuries to the police officers in the crash.
