Emergency services have located a woman deceased following a search operation at Palm Cove near Cairns this morning, May 17.
Police were called to Palm Cove jetty at approximately 2.25am following reports a woman had entered the water and failed to resurface.
Water Police, Surf Life Saving and local police commenced a search operation of the area.
At approximately 7.15am, Surf Life Saving Queensland volunteers located the body of a woman in waters off Buchans Point beach.
Investigations remain ongoing, however the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
