Search resumes for missing man near NSW/Victoria border

A search for a man missing near the NSW/Victoria border will continue today.

Joseph McCrann, aged 94, was last seen in Mildura on Sunday 19 June 2022.

He was reported missing to Victoria Police when he could not be located, and inquiries commenced into his whereabouts.

Following inquires, a mobility scooter was found at the edge of the Murray River near a walking track on Hugh King Drive, Mildura, about 2.20pm on Monday (20 June 2022).

Officers from Barrier Police District, who were assisting Victoria Police in the search for Joseph, extended the search for Joseph to include areas around the Murray River in NSW on Monday.

That search will continue today (Thursday 23 June 2022), and will included local NSW Police officers, Victorian Police officers and divers, and the SES.

Serious concerns are held form Joseph's welfare, due to his age.

Joseph is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm to 180cm tall, of medium build with grey hair.
