Search To Resume For Missing Bushwalker - Belmore Falls

A search will resume this morning for a woman missing while bushwalking at Belmore Falls.

Just after 1.00pm on Sunday (7 April 2024), emergency services were called to Belmore Falls near Robertson, following reports a woman had slipped and fallen down a cliff.

An extensive search was initiated involving officers attached to The Hume Police District, NSW Police rescue, NSW Ambulance rescue, State Emergency Service (SES), National Parks and Wildlife Service, PolAir and the TOLL Rescue Helicopter; however, the 20-year-old woman was not located, and the search was suspended at dusk, due to low light.

The multi-agency water and land-based search, resumed about 8am yesterday (Monday 8 April 2024), with police divers attending to assist.

A command post has been established at the Belmore Falls Lookout car park off Belmore Falls Road and the search will resume about 8am today (Tuesday 9 April 2024).
