A land and sea search is underway after clothing belonging to a man was found on a Mackay beach this morning.
A member of the public contacted police shortly after 8am after property and clothing belonging to 45-year-old Bradley Prater was located on Illawong Beach at South Mackay.
A Police Forward Command Post has been established at Illawong Beach with the water police and Volunteer Marine Rescue searching.
Police and SES personnel are also searching nearby land and bush.
Mr Prater is described as Caucasian, approximately 180cms tall with a solid build, balding with a greyish beard and brown eyes.
