Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken will travel to New York City December 18-19 to chair two meetings of the UN Security Council, where the United States holds the rotating presidency for the month of December. The first meeting will focus on the implications of artificial intelligence for the maintenance of international peace and security, while the second session will focus on Sudan and the current humanitarian crisis there. While in New York City, the Secretary will also participate in a fireside chat at the Council on Foreign Relations.
