A third person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south-west.
About 11.20am on Monday (13 March 2023), emergency services were called to the Hume Motorway, Menangle Park, following reports of a crash involving a cement truck and a Mazda SUV.
The SUV driver, a 34-year-old woman, and a passenger, a two-year-old boy, died at the scene.
The second passenger, a three-month-old girl, was airlifted to The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition. The baby passed away in hospital today (Wednesday 15 March 2023).
The truck driver, a 48-year-old man, was not injured.
Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
As inquiries continue, investigators urged anyone with dashcam vision in the area at the time or anyone with further information to come forward.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
