A second man has appeared in court today charged following an alleged armed robbery at a business in Belmore earlier this week.
About 5pm on Monday 2 December 2024, a 24-year-old man attended a property on Burwood Road, Belmore.
When the man arrived, he was allegedly assaulted and robbed by a 33-year-old man.
About 5:30pm, the man was allowed to leave the property and called police.
Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended and arrested the 33-year-old man.
He remains before the court.
A 20-year-old man who was also at the property during the alleged incident left before police arrived.
Following inquiries, detectives from Campsie Police Area Command attended a unit on Betty Cuthbert Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, about 10am today (Wednesday 4 December 2024), and arrested a 20-year-old man.
He was taken to Auburn Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon and two counts possess false document to influence exercise public duty.
He was refused bail and appeared before Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 4 December 2024), where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday 19 February 2025.
