Second Man Charged for Nazi Poster in Hyde Park

Police have charged a second man with allegedly displaying a Nazi poster in Hyde Park Sunday afternoon.

About 2.45pm (Sunday 6 October 2024), officers attached to Operation Shelter were patrolling Hyde Park when they located an unknown man putting up a poster of a Nazi swastika.

Officers spoke to and moved the 56-year-old man on and removed the poster.

Yesterday (Monday 7 October 2024) police charged the man with knowingly display by public act Nazi symbol without excuse.

The man was issued a future court attendance notice to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 21 November 2024.

Investigations under Operation Shelter continue.
