Second Person Charged Over Armed Robbery - Summer Hill

A woman will face court charged over the alleged armed hold-up of a jewellery store in Sydney's Inner West last week.

About 8.25am on Wednesday 5 March 2025, officers from Burwood Police Area Command responded to reports staff at a jewellery store on Parramatta Road at Summer Hill had been robbed.

Officers were told a man entered the store and allegedly threatened two staff members before he left with jewellery.

A short time later, police patrolling the area chased the man along Sloane Street, Haberfield, where he was arrested.

The man was charged with 10 offences and remains before the court.

About 1pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 March 2025), following extensive inquiries, police arrested a 43-year-old woman at a unit complex on Centenary Drive, Strathfield.

She was taken to Burwood Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.

She was refused bail and will appear before Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 12 March 2025)
