A second woman has been charged following an investigation into an alleged shooting in the state's Mid North Coast.
On Sunday 17 November 2024, officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District established Strike Force Parham to commence an investigation following reports a 32-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped by three people from Port Macquarie and taken to Bago area, before he was found with gunshot wounds to his arm and legs on Rollover Road, Bago.
Following extensive inquiries, with assistance from Western Australia Police Force, a 38-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were arrested in Barradonia, south of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia on Thursday 21 November 2024.
They were extradited to New South Wales on Monday 25 November 2024, and charged. They both remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, about midday yesterday (Monday 2 December 2024), officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting a vehicle stop on Macleay Way, South Kempsey, when they arrested a 27-year-old woman allegedly laying across the back seat of a vehicle.
She was taken to Kempsey Police Station and charged with kidnap in company with serious indictable occasion aggravated bodily harm and shoot at with intent to murder.
She was refused bail to appear at Kempsey Local Court today (Tuesday 3 December 2024).
