Late last night, Labor's health spokesperson Anita Dow has let slip Labor's secret tax plan - an ambulance tax.
Ms Dow said expressed her disdain about the fact the Premier confirmed that under our Liberal Government, we would keep ambulances free in Tasmania.
Liberal Member for Prosser, Jane Howlett, said the only reason why Ms Dow would be offended is if Labor have plans to bring back their failed ambulance tax.
"Tasmanians have long memories, and we remember the days when former Labor Treasurer Mr Aird was the architect of Labor's previous failed attempts to make Tasmanians pay for ambulances," Ms Howlett said.
"Mr Aird was forced to backflip on his plans to charge Tasmanians to call an ambulance after fierce community opposition.
"Now, it's clear there is unfinished business within the Labor ranks and they are planning to resurrect his ambulance tax under Rebecca White's whishy-washy embattled leadership.
"We know Labor will have to raise taxes and cut services somewhere to pay for their $30 million plus blackhole.
"An ambulance tax will be just the start."
