Take a peek into what pets do when you're not home with a free screening of Pixar's Secret Life of Pets 2 at Riverway Stadium this Friday.
The family film is the first scheduled for Riverway Movie Nights, which Townsville City Council is bringing back to life following a hiatus due to COVID-19.
Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said she was excited for Riverway Movie Nights to be up and running again.
"COVID forced us to hit pause on Riverway Movie Nights, but they are always well-attended events and I am so pleased that we'll be bringing them back each month for the whole family to enjoy," she said.
"The weather is absolutely beautiful at the moment, so I would really encourage parents to take advantage of this fun and free night out with the kids.
"You can pack a picnic to take along, spread out a blanket to get comfy on, and sit back to enjoy Secret Life of Pets 2, which is such a funny movie.
"If you want to grab a bite to eat at Riverway Oval, we'll also have some food trucks on site to pick from."
The screening of Secret Life of Pets 2 starts at 6:30pm this Friday at Riverway Oval.
