Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić has met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili. The meeting focused on the co-operation between the Organisation and Georgia for the implementation of the legislative and policy agenda, including in respect of the European Union priorities for candidate status.
The Secretary General highlighted the relevance of democratic security, encouraging political dialogue and constant consultations with civil society and other stakeholders. Marija Pejčinović Burić also reiterated the Council of Europe's unwavering commitment to Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
