Secretary General Meets Icelandic Minister for Education and Children

Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić has met with the Icelandic Minister for Education and Children Ásmundur Einar Dadason.

The conversation focused on the Icelandic Presidency's support to the Council of Europe's work for children and for integrating a youth perspective in preparation for the upcoming Fourth Summit of the Heads of State and Government in Reykjavik (16-17 May). The situation of Ukrainian children in the context of Russia's continued aggression against Ukraine was highlighted.

The exchange also addressed the Council of Europe's policies on education with an emphasis on the 26th session of the Conference of Ministers of Education in Strasbourg (28-29 September).
