Seeking Children's Allied Health Providers

Knox City Council are seeking applications from allied health providers to deliver services in our Children and Family Centres at Bayswater and Wantirna South.

Council's centres deliver early years services to the local community, including childcare, kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health and playgroups. The inclusion of allied health services means the community can access even more services for children and families in one location.

Early years allied health services are specialist support services that can play an important role in early intervention for children and their families.

Early years allied health services include:

  • Speech pathology
  • Occupational Therapy
  • NDIS
  • Paediatric
  • Dental
  • Audiology
  • Child psychology

Further examples include education and support for diabetes, asthma, breastfeeding, child development and family violence.

Establishing allied health programs within our centres reflects Council's priority to support children to have the best possible start to life. We are investing in a more holistic approach to service delivery through co-location and integration of services.

Through expanding appropriate early childhood health services, Council aims to increase participation and support for vulnerable families in the Knox community.
