A senior constable from the Southern Metro Region has been detected drink driving.
The 57-year-old returned a blood alcohol reading of .078 after being tested at a breath testing site on Normanby Road, Southbank about 6.20pm on 12 October.
The male officer was off-duty at the time.
He was issued with a penalty infringement notice for drink driving and his licence will be cancelled for six months.
