Following the resounding success of the 2024 'Reach Beyond' exhibition, Federation Council is thrilled to announce the return of its popular seniors community art exhibition, 'Time To Shine', at the Corowa Art Space. This vibrant showcase celebrates the talent and creativity of artists aged 55 and over from across the region.

'Time To Shine' aligns with the spirit of the NSW Seniors Festival, which recognises and honours the invaluable contributions of older adults to our communities. The exhibition's theme underscores the message that age is no barrier to artistic excellence and that our senior artists continue to shine brightly.

The exhibition features an impressive collection of 50 artworks from 23 regional artists, offering a diverse range of artistic mediums including metal sculptures, textiles, oils, watercolours, and mosaics. Visitors will find a wealth of unique and inspiring pieces, perfect for gifts or home decor, while also supporting local talent.

Federation Council Mayor, Cr Cheryl Cook, expressed her enthusiasm for the exhibition and the artists involved.

"We are incredibly proud to host 'Time To Shine' at the Corowa Art Space," said Mayor Cook. "This exhibition is a testament to the remarkable talent and passion of our senior artists. Their work is truly inspiring, and we are delighted to provide a platform for them to showcase their creativity. The diversity of mediums on display ensures there is something to captivate every visitor."

Mayor Cook also highlighted the importance of celebrating the contributions of older adults in the Federation community.

"The NSW Seniors Festival and exhibitions like 'Time To Shine' remind us that age is just a number," she said.

"Our senior artists continue to enrich our community with their unique perspectives and artistic expressions. We encourage everyone to come and experience this wonderful exhibition and support our local talent.".

'Time To Shine' will be on display at the Corowa Art Space until April 27, 2025. The gallery is open to the public from Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 10am to 2pm.
