Seniors Get Savvy With Computers

Kempsey Shire Council

A delightful day of digital discovery unfolded at our recent 'Tech Savvy Seniors' workshop at Kempsey Library, where seniors gathered to learn the essentials of technology.

This event catered specifically to those with little to no prior experience with computers, providing an ideal setting for learning.

The five enthusiastic participants were guided through the basics of using their laptops—from powering up to exploring the internet and connecting with loved ones. Attendees were particularly keen to learn more about Microsoft Outlook and Word.

Everyone was so enthusiastic and gained valuable skills and newfound confidence in navigating their devices, even asking some curly questions to keep us on our toes!

We are immensely grateful to all the participants for making the event a lovely gathering. It's clear that initiatives like these are crucial in enhancing digital literacy among seniors, helping them to stay informed and connected in today's fast-paced world.
