A man has been charged after allegedly assaulting a police officer responding to a disturbance in Holland Park West last night.
Shortly after 10:15 police responded to reports the 39-year-old was causing a disturbance at a licensed venue on Logan Road.
It will be alleged the man assaulted an officer, biting him on the hand before he was taken into custody.
It is further alleged the man kicked the walls of a police vehicle causing damage to a screen.
The Greenslopes man has been charged with one count each of serious assault police, wilful damage, public nuisance and two counts of obstruct police.
He has been held in custody to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
