Murgon Criminal Investigation Branch detectives have charged a man with more than thirty offences including serious assault police following his arrest on Tuesday.
Investigators will allege the man committed a string of property crimes in Cherbourg, Murgon and Wondai between late May and July 19 this year.
Officers arrested the 25-year-old man in Cherbourg on July 19, where he was initially charged with 19 offences for outstanding matters including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter with intent, wilful damage and serious assault police.
The man was transported to hospital for further assessment where he allegedly fled from police before again being taken into custody in Kingaroy from the roof of a premises.
He was subsequently charged with a further 11 offences following his arrest including two counts each of serious assault police, wilful damage, going armed so as to cause fear and one count of obstruct police, unregulated high-risk activities, stealing, burglary and escape by persons in lawful custody.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 30.
Detectives have also issued a Cherbourg woman and girl known to the man Notices To Appear relating to allegedly obstructing police and helping a prisoner at large, with investigators alleging they intentionally and overtly impeded police in relation to the apprehension of the man.
