The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a woman was critically injured in a crash at Mourilyan, south of Innisfail today, September 27.
Initial investigations indicate the Holden Commodore was travelling east along South Johnstone Road just before 10am, when it left the road and crashed with a parked semi-trailer.
Emergency crews responded and the 24-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.
The 31-year-old male driver was not injured in the crash.
Anyone with information or dashcam vision that could assist police investigations, including in lead up to the crash, is urged to come forward.
