A woman will face court today after allegedly colliding with a pedestrian at Totness last night.
Just after 11.15pm on Monday 20 December police and emergency services attended Mount Barker Road after reports a man had been hit by a car.
The man aged 31 from Mount Barker was taken to the Royal Adelaide with life threatening injuries.
It will be alleged the driver of the car a 38-year-old woman from Murray Bridge submitted to a roadside breath test, however refused a further breath analysis when taken back to the police station. Checks also revealed the woman was also disqualified from driving and had a child under 16 in the car at the time.
Major Crash Officers arrested the woman and charged her with aggravated causing harm by dangerous driving, failing to submit to a breath analysis and having a child under the age of 16 present in vehicle and driving disqualified.
The woman was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
