A man has been seriously injured following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the state's far west yesterday.
About 3.15pm (Tuesday 15 February 2022), emergency services were called to the Barrier Highway, about 45km west of Broken Hill, following reports a motorcycle had crashed.
Police were told the rider was thrown from the motorcycle before it was destroyed by fire.
The rider – a 70-year-old man – was taken to Broken Hill Hospital before he was airlifted to Royal Adelaide Hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
Officers attached to Barrier Police District attended and commenced an investigation.
Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
