The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious motorbike crash that occurred in Oakenden yesterday, September 24.
Initial investigations indicate shortly before 3pm, a motorbike was travelling along Eton Homebush Road when it left the roadway and crashed near Oakenden School Road.
The rider, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mackay Base Hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV from the area to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
