Police are seeking public information in relation to a single vehicle crash at Lebrina today (Saturday 9 September 2023).
At approximately 11:25am a grey Nissan utility failed to negotiate a right-hand bend and crashed into a large fence post on Golconda Road, Lebrina.
The fence post penetrated the windshield of the vehicle, which resulted in the 23 year old male driver from Scottsdale sustaining non-critical injuries.
Tasmania Police, SES, Tas Fire and Ambulance Tasmania attended the scene. The driver was transported to Launceston General Hospital by Ambulance Tasmania before being airlifted to Royal Hobart Hospital by the Police Rescue Helicopter.
Tasmania police crash investigators and forensic staff also attended the crash scene. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
