A 52-year-old Norwood man was transported to the Launceston General Hospital in a serious but stable condition following a single vehicle crash in Breadalbane this morning, Tasmania Police say.
The man was the driver and sole occupant of a Black Jeep heading towards Launceston on Hobart Road, around 1.5 km north from the Breadalbane Roundabout.
Around 8:53am, the vehicle left the road, travelled down a small embankment and collided with a large tree.
The man was removed from the vehicle by Tasmanian Fire Service personnel using the Jaws of Life.
Anyone who witnessed the vehicle travelling on Hobart Road prior to the crash is asked to contact Launceston Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
