The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash at Cedar Grove this morning, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations suggest around 12.45am a car was travelling south on Mount Lindsay Highway when it left the road and travelled down an embankment before colliding with a tree.
The driver of the car, a 17–year-old Gleneagle man, was taken to the Princess Alexandra with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
The Mount Lindsay Highway was closed in both directions to allow police and emergency services to respond to the crash, but it has since re-opened.
