Police have charged an 18-year-old Atherton man following a traffic crash early this morning at Moomin, Queensland Police say.
It will be alleged that the local man was travelling along Herberton Range Ridge Road at about 1.20am when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree.
The ‘P’ plater provided an alleged positive reading of 0.071 per cent.
Two local 18-year-old female passengers were taken to hospital.
One was airlifted to Cairns Hospital with serious spinal injuries.
The man has been charged with drink driving and is expected to appear in the Atherton Magistrates Court on January 10, 2017.
