The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash near Dimbulah this evening, Queensland Police say.
Initial information suggests about 6.10pm, a Toyota Landcruiser and a Toyota Corolla have collided on Mareeba-Dimbulah Road, approximately 5km north east of Dimbulah.
A 37-year-old male driver has been airlifted to the Cairns Base Hospital in a critical condition.
A 54-year-old female driver from the second vehicle was transported to Mareeba Hospital with serious leg injuries and then flown to Cairns Base Hospital for treatment.
Mareeba-Dimbulah Road will remain closed while investigations continue.
