A man has been seriously injured following a crash near Hazeldean this morning, Queensland Police say.
Just before 11am, a motorcycle travelling north along Esk Kilcoy Road attempted to overtake two vehicles, when one of the cars turned right into Brockhurst Drive.
As a result, the motorcycle collided with the right hand side of the car causing the rider to come off and fall heavy on the roadway.
A 51-year-old man – the rider – sustained serious head, internal and leg injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition tonight.
A 25-year-old woman driving the vehicle sustained only minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
