A teenage boy will face court charged over an alleged fatal stabbing in the Illawarra region late last month.
About 3pm on Tuesday 28 January 2025, emergency services were called to Saturn Crescent, Dunmore, after a 25-year-old man was found suffering serious stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he could not be revived.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District established Strike Force Feods and commenced an investigation into the incident with the assistance of State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
Initial investigations revealed the man had allegedly been stabbed while being assaulted by a number of people who fled in an Isuzu MU-X.
The vehicle was later recovered in Albion Park Rail and seized for forensic examination.
Police have charged six people – a 38-year-old woman, a 15-year-old boy, three 13-year-old boys, and a 12-year-old girl – in relation to the incident who remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, about 8.30pm yesterday (Monday 3 March 2025), police arrested a 15-year-old boy at Lake Illawarra Police Station.
He was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, armed with intent commit indictable offence, and face blackened / disguised with intent commit indictable offence.
He was refused bail and will appear before a Children's court today (Tuesday 4 March 2025).
