The Seymour War Memorial Outdoor Pool is celebrating its reopening on Friday, 17 January, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This event promises an afternoon of excitement and entertainment for families and children, and best of all, it's completely free.
The pool has undergone significant restoration following the devastating floods of October 2022, which caused extensive damage to the facility. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Mitchell Shire Council and funding from the Local Government Victoria Emergencies Flood Support Fund, the pool now boasts improved amenities, upgraded drainage and flooring in the change rooms.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of fun, such as plaster art painting, giant games like Jenga and Connect 4, and lively sports including pickle ball and water skirmish. Live music will keep the atmosphere festive, plus a free sausage sizzle and a selection of food trucks with delicious treats for purchase.
"We are thrilled to welcome the community back to the Seymour War Memorial Outdoor Pool," said Mitchell Shire Mayor, Cr John Dougall. "This event is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, have fun, and celebrate the reopening of this beloved community facility."
Don't miss out on this fantastic event! Bring your family and friends to enjoy a day of fun, laughter, and celebration at the Seymour War Memorial Outdoor Pool.
