Hervey Bay police are appealing for public assistance to help locate 40-year-old Pialba man Shane Verdickt who was last seen in the local area on July 30, Queensland Police say.
Investigations by police indicate that Shane travelled by bus to Cairns arriving in the late afternoon of Tuesday, July 31.
It is possible that Shane is still in the Cairns area, or perhaps Burrum River or Cooktown areas.
Police and family hold concerns for Shane as he has not been in contact with family or friends since the 30th and his behaviour is out of character.
Anyone who has any information in relation to Shane’s current whereabouts is asked to contact police.
He is described as Caucasian, approximately 172cms tall with a proportionate build, grey/white hair and brown eyes.
