Shape Future of Black Gully Park & Cook Rec Reserve

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is inviting the community to provide feedback on a draft master plan for Black Gully Linear Corridor Park and Captain Cook Recreation Reserve and a proposal to designate an additional dog off-leash area in Black Gully Linear Corridor Park.

TRC Parks and Recreation Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tim McMahon said the draft master plan aims to make recreational improvements to Black Gully Linear Corridor Park in Newtown and Captain Cook Recreation Reserve in Wilsonton.

"We're excited to present the draft master plan which has been shaped by the voices of our community," Cr McMahon said.

"Developed with community feedback received during November and December 2023 and May 2024, it aims to improve these spaces to ensure they can be enjoyed by the whole community for years to come.

"From improved playgrounds to new shared pathways and picnic areas, the draft plan proposes features for park-goers of all ages and interests.

"Creating a new master plan is a joint effort between Council and the community and we invite everyone to get involved as we finish shaping it together.
