Cricket Victoria has announced Head of Female Cricket Sharelle McMahon has resigned from her position.
The former Australian Diamonds captain joined Cricket Victoria three years ago in a code switch and has overseen improvements to the structure, nature and delivery of the women's high-performance program for Victorian cricket.
McMahon departs to pursue a new opportunity in sport.
Cricket Victoria General Manager – Cricket Performance Graham Manou thanked McMahon for her service to Victorian cricket.
"Over the last three years Sharelle has played a key role in enhancing our high-performance preparation, pathway and processes for our female players. Whether it is through the highest levels of our game or for girls in our talent pathways, Sharelle has set up strong foundations for the next generation," Manou said.
"I'd like to thank Sharelle for the time and energy she has invested into this role."
McMahon said it was the right time for the next chapter.
"I'd like to thank our CEO Nick Cummins, Graham and the Cricket Victoria team for what has been a wonderful opportunity and a chance to learn and develop every day. It has been a privilege to work with some of the best cricketers in the world and some of the most exciting up and coming talent and to contribute to bringing positive outcomes for the future of the game."
"The female performance pathway will continue to drive the growth and development of women and girls into the future. 2024 has been a big year, but I'm looking forward to what's ahead," McMahon added.
