Shining a light on story of Echuca Moama

Murray River Council

Murray River Council will be lighting up the Murray in May this year when they launch their exciting new festival: Moama Lights!

An immersive sound and light trail showcasing the story of Echuca Moama, Moama Lights will feature light installations and projections including theatrical fog, strobe and cutting edge moving light technology.

Through three different acts - Echuca Moama indigenous culture, riverboat heritage and present-day life - visitors and locals will witness a new and exciting way of getting to know the local area.

Murray River Council Mayor, Chris Bilkey is encouraging people to attend the inaugural event.

"Set to the backdrop of a beautiful bush setting, this is guaranteed to be a spectacular outdoor lighting event. It really is something that shouldn't be missed."
