Wagga Wagga is getting its glow back this March!
Council is supporting the national Endo Enlightened campaign to raise awareness of endometriosis.
Manager Community Services Madeleine Scully said the 19 trees on the median strips in Fitzmaurice Street will glow yellow for the month of March in demonstration of hope and support, and to raise awareness of the disease
"Nearly one million Australian women live with endometriosis at some point in their lives, with this debilitating condition often starting in teenagers," Ms Scully said.
"Symptoms are variable and the disease can take years to be diagnosed. Common symptoms include pelvic pain that disrupts life around or during periods and may impact fertility."
