Shire Elections: Stand for Council

Leeton Shire Council is calling on community members who care about Leeton Shire to step forward and run for a position as a councillor in the upcoming Local Government Elections, scheduled for 14 September 2024.

Nominations will open on Monday, 5 August 2024, and close at 12 noon on Wednesday, 14 August 2024. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to submit their nominations well before the closing date to ensure a smooth process.

Manager Governance, Corporate & Customer Service, Sarah Graham, emphasised the importance of diverse participation in the upcoming elections.

"A diverse Council brings a wealth of perspectives and experiences to the table, crucial for the effective governance and leadership of our community.

"We encourage everyone who is passionate about making a positive difference in Leeton Shire to consider running for Council in the upcoming elections.
