Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man who can assist with their enquiries, after another man was shot at Bauple yesterday afternoon.
Initial investigations suggest a conversation between two men took place, before the 28-year-old man was shot at an Acacia Road address around 3pm.
The man sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg and was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Detectives are searching for the man believed to be responsible, who is described as Caucasian, around 175cm tall with a scruffy appearance, beard and wearing dark clothing.
He then fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
Anyone who sees the man is urged not to approach him and call police.
