Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting at Hornsdale this evening.
At 4.30pm police received a report that a woman had received a gunshot wound to the back.
The woman has been taken to hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
The initial investigation suggests the incident may have been accidental. All parties involved are known to each other.
There is no risk to the community.
