Police are investigating a shooting incident in Maryborough last night, January 13.
Police and emergency services were called to a Fort Street property just after 9pm to reports a 43-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his head.
The victim was transported to hospital with a life-threatening injury to his head.
The offender immediately fled the scene and remains outstanding.
This is a suspected targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Anyone with information that could assist investigations, including any CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time, is urged to contact police.
