Police are investigating a major fire at Mount Compass early this morning.
About 3.30am Saturday 18 June, police and MFS responded to reports of flames coming from a block of shops on Victor Harbor Road.
When crews arrived the fire was well involved taking hold on several shops within the complex. Fire crews worked to bring the blaze under control with at least two of the shops destroyed by the fire.
Damage to the other shops and a home attached to the group is being assessed.
Police Fire Cause Investigators are attending the scene this morning to determine the cause.
Victor Harbor Road is currently closed in both directions between Tay Road and Arthur Road with diversions in place.
