The winners of Mosman's yearly Rapt Christmas decorating competition have been announced, with Belle Property Mosman taking out top honours.
Home and lifestyle store JAGCOMM claimed second prize, with toy store Kidstuff awarded third.
Organised by Mosman Council and the Mosman Chamber of Commerce, the competition is supported by local businesses through entries and the donation of prizes totalling more than $2000.
Entrants decorated their shopfronts in Christmas-inspired themes for the enjoyment of shoppers and visitors to Mosman and to help stimulate economic activity during the festive season.
The competition was judged by Council and Chamber of Commerce representatives.
Judges were thrilled with the standard of entries this year, many featuring joyful themes, innovative lighting and use of sustainable materials in their installations.
The judges noted the high-level street impact of the Belle Property display, particularly when lit up at night; the magical quality and attention to detail of the JAGCOMM window and shop interior; and the "dream scene for any child" embodied in Kidstuff's multiple window displays.
Highly commended prizes for Rapt 2023 also went to: Australian Glass Art & Gifts; Boudoir of Hair; Lovett Store; Marry Me Bridal; One French Summer; Papaya; and Scoop Wholefoods.
A participants' prize draw was won by The Nowhere Nation.
Prizes were generously donated by Taronga Zoo; Hotel Mosman; Floriade; Mosman Rowers; Ormeggio at The Spit; La Massage; Jimmy Stuart; Chiosco by Ormeggio; Middle Harbour 16ft Skiff Club; PureFree; Ilona Vass; Best of Moi; and Coloraction International.
