Shore Leave Festival Shored Up For 2025

  • Shore Leave Festival, supported by the WA Government, is returning in 2025
  • Celebration of Geraldton and the Mid West region's seafood, adventures and culture
  • Annual multi-day event welcomed 26,000 attendees last year and generated nearly $1.3 million for the region

The Mid West region's signature event, Shore Leave Festival, will return in 2025 with a celebration of the region's unique seafood, adventures and culture.

Last year, 26,000 people attended the Geraldton event, and similar numbers are expected again when it runs from 23-27 April 2025.

Over a thousand visitors are expected to travel from outside the region, providing a boost for local businesses with last year's event generating nearly $1.3 million for the local economy.

The festival's most iconic event, the Abrolhos Long Table Lunch on East Wallabi Island, will be back with two sittings in 2025 due to demand, while the Midwest Paddock to Plate event will again return to Yanget Farm for a night of dining under the stars.

The Helm will return as the main hub of the festival, offering a variety of food and beverage vendors, live music, family-friendly craft workshops and sunset views from its vantage point on Geraldton's foreshore.

A wide range of additional free and ticketed events round out the festival's offering, catering to all ages and bringing vibrancy to the local Geraldton community.

Shore Leave is presented by Tourism Geraldton Mid West and supported by the Western Australian Government.
