Shot Fired Charges At Bald Hills

Detectives have charged a 20-year-old man following investigations into reports of a shot being fired in Bald Hills yesterday, February 16.

Around 10.40am, police were called to a Bald Hills address after receiving reports a shot allegedly being fired into an unoccupied parked vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident.

It will be alleged it was a targeted incident.

A crime scene was declared, and two men were taken into custody without incident at a nearby Nudgee Road, Northgate address.

Police will allege a subsequent search of the address resulted in the location and recovery of the shotgun alleged to have been used during the offence.

A 20-year-old Bald Hills man has been charged with 11 offences including one count each of discharge weapon in public place, wilful damage, unlawful possession of weapons category A, possess shortened firearm, using vehicle for which a number plate required, driving vehicle without a licence, unlawful stalking, assault occasioning harm domestic violence offence, wilful damage domestic violence offence, and deprivation of liberty, authority required to possess explosives.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, February 17.

Investigations are ongoing.
