Police have charged a man after allegedly locating a shotgun in his vehicle while stopped in Oakdale yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 4pm today, police from Camden Local Area Command conducted a vehicle stop of a Holden Commodore on Old Jerusalem Road.
The vehicle was being driven by a 27-year-old man and had two occupants inside.
Officers will allege they searched the vehicle and located a shortened single-barrel shotgun in the engine bay.
He was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm.
He was refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow.
The two other occupants were interviewed by police at the station and released pending further inquiries.
