Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a number of shots were fired into a house in Tarneit this morning, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told the shots were fired into the Caraleena Drive residence at 12.17am.
The rounds were fired into the front of the house with some of the rounds penetrating a bedroom and a kitchen.
Neither of the two occupants was injured in the incident.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Caraleena Drive just after midnight and saw anything suspicious to contact Crime Stoppers.
